Tonya is a Mind Body Health Doctor and Coach passionate about WFPB diets as a key ingredient of lifestyle medicine, weaving 30 years of experience in Western Medicine as a GP with the deep awareness, through her experience, of the need for a wider and truly holistic approach.
She has a special interest in the emotional drivers of behaviour and techniques to help release these to allow the flow of behaviour change to WFPB diets for personal and planetary health. She loves to help people struggling to make changes, through her understanding of how our life experiences, learnings and challenges influence these. She uses mindfulness and somatic awareness, with techniques including emotional release and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help identify and release held emotions that drive behaviour. She also runs one day gut health masterclass retreats in Queenstown, NZ, which can be extended to a plant-based cooking and learning style retreat.
